Message from the President:
Dear Shipmates
2025 has been a new road for me. Many of you have been informed that my dear love, Della spread her wings for heaven the first part of February. Hearl and Elaine came out for a week and we got a few together for a dinner at the Cliffhanger, Lake Arrowhead. Without my other half I have made the decision to resign as President of the USS Princeton Veterans, Inc.
In addition, our fabulous and most capable Secretary Margaret has had her cancer return and has begun chemotherapy. She will be organizing this newsletter to inform every one of the decisions. Paul and Susan were in aa serious accident and not able to handle the Ships Store.
I have spoken with our Oklahoma agent, Russell Cannon at the last reunion and we are beginning the process of dissolving the non-profit organization. We have been in conversation with the Department of the Secretary of State of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, OK. Ron Hoak guardian of our memorabilia. His wife Cheryl is also not doing well health wise. He is continuing his search for the best location for our memorabilia.
With my resignation, Elaine will also resign as Bylaws Chairperson. Paul and Susan will resign as well as Ron Bishop, VP has stated he would be resigning. Richard, our Treasurer has several items to take care of with our finances and speak with organizations necessary to close all paperwork.
Thus, the Board Members have settled on the dissolution of the Group.
Many of you have called making recommendations for our next reunion/get-together. This could still take place but not in a formal reunion.
Most of us have each other’s phone numbers and addresses and can try a more informal get together.
To all of you, I appreciate every piece of help given. We all have so many memories. We have our photobooks.
